HameTradie is a local community platform connecting homeowners with trusted local tradespeople across Perthshire and Strathearn, Scotland.

We are currently in a pre-launch phase, gathering expressions of interest from local tradespeople and homeowners ahead of our Summer 2026 launch.

📋 What Information We Collect

During our pre-launch interest registration, we collect only the minimum information needed:

• For tradespeople: Type of trade, village or town, email address
• For homeowners: Type of service needed, village or town, email address
• For general enquiries: Name, email address, message content

We do not collect: full addresses, phone numbers, payment information, government ID, or any sensitive personal data at this stage.

🎯 Why We Collect It

We collect this information solely to:

• Contact you before our Summer 2026 launch with details about HameTradie
• Understand the demand for local tradespeople in your area
• Match homeowners with suitable tradespeople when we launch
• Respond to your enquiries

⚖️ Legal Basis (UK GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal basis:

• Consent – You tick the consent checkbox on our form before submitting your details. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests – To operate and develop a local community service in Perthshire.

🗄️ Where We Store Your Data

Your information is stored securely in Google Sheets (via Google Forms), which uses Google's servers. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and complies with UK GDPR standards.

Data is accessible only to the HameTradie admin. We do not use any third-party marketing platforms or CRM systems at this stage.

⏱️ How Long We Keep It

We will retain your information until:

• HameTradie launches and you create a full account, at which point this pre-launch data will be deleted or migrated with your consent, OR
• You request deletion of your data, OR
• HameTradie does not launch, in which case all pre-launch data will be deleted within 30 days of that decision

🍪 Cookies

Our pre-launch landing page uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics at this stage. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

If this changes before launch, we will update this policy and add a cookie consent notice to the website.

• Right to access – Request a copy of the data we hold about you

As HameTradie grows from pre-launch to a full platform, this Privacy Policy will be updated. We will notify registered users of any significant changes by email before they take effect.
